Why does CityMusts need my location?
To show where you are on the map and how far each spot is from you. Your exact location stays on your device. The map works without it, too.
How are a city's lists chosen?
For the city you're viewing, an AI model lists what a visitor must see and do, the most important first, however many there are, and the local dishes to try, each at the place best known for it. Outside cities, it does the same for the area nearby. Apple Maps then checks each one, so every marker is a real place: red for what to see and do, orange with a fork and knife for where to eat. The ranking is a suggestion, and it can be wrong.
Why don't I see a city's lists?
Zoom in to about the size of a city, and check that you're online.
Why is a place missing?
The app shows only spots that Apple Maps can find near where the AI placed them, and only when Apple Maps confirms it's the same place, so an area such as a harbour or a neighborhood may not show. For what to see and do, it leaves out shops, restaurants, hotels and other businesses; for food, bars and places that only serve drinks.
How do I tick off a city?
Tap a place's number, in the city's list or on its card when you tap its marker, or Mark Done on its page. Done places keep their spot in the list, turn gray on the map and count on the city's card at the bottom of the map.
Does it cost anything?
No. CityMusts is free, with no ads and no in-app purchases.
What goes to the AI?
The city you're viewing, or outside a city the area rounded to about 5 km, never your exact location; the places you open, for their hours, prices, tips and scripts; and the options you pick for a script. Your questions go only after you tap Continue on the notice that shows the first time you tap Ask. The AI model is from another company, which the privacy policy names.
Where are my done places and my scripts?
Done places show in gray in their city's list and on the map; search for a city to see it again. A place's scripts are under For Creators, at the end of its page. They're only on your device: deleting the app deletes them.
